The Founder
Internationally renowned glass artist B. Jane Cowie founded Refind in 2021 to tackle Singapore’s mounting glass waste challenge. Struck by the sheer volume of imported bottles discarded daily, she began experimenting with repurposing bottle glass into functional and artistic creations. What started as a personal challenge soon evolved into a movement, fueled by community support, creative exploration, and her belief that waste can be redefined as a resource.
With decades of glassmaking expertise, Cowie established Refind as a studio where sustainability, craftsmanship, and education converge. Her work empowers communities to rethink disposable culture, reduce environmental impact, and discover the beauty and potential of glass through hands-on experiences and creative reusing and recycling initiatives.
